Why are my MX systems flashing at different durations based on which side of the street is triggered?
This article discusses the duration setting for crosswalk beacon systems.
Product applicability
The following products are discussed in this article:
- MX Series: R920-MX
MX systems that are set to the Trigger/Standby operation mode use a duration flash setting. Each system at the crossing should be set to the same flash duration setting, otherwise the flash duration will change depending on which push button is pressed. For example:
System 1 Duration Setting | System 2 Duration Setting | System 1 Button Pressed | System 2 Button Pressed |
10 seconds | 20 seconds | 10 second flash duration for both systems | 20 second flash duration for both systems |
To set the flash duration:
- Open the MX Field App.
- Tap on the system you wish to connect to.
- If required gain access to the system's power module and pair with the system.
- Tap on Operation.
- Tap on the duration setting.
- Adjust the duration to match all systems at the crossing.
- Tap on Done and then Save to complete
- Repeat for all systems at the crossing.
The beacon intensity setting can also be adjusted through MX Cloud. Login here and reference the MX Cloud guide for more information.
