[2025] MX Series product update - MX 200 with hinged solar panel

This article details an update to the MX 200 power module - now featuring a hinged solar panel.

When did this update occur

Carmanah started shipping the hinged version of the MX 200 power module in 2025 Q3.

Background/theory of operation

The MX 200 power module initially had an external solar panel (30 W or 50 W) that was bolted to the enclosure. To mirror the MX 100 power module, which has a hinged solar panel, we moved the MX 200 to the same hinged design for consistency, ease of use, and ease of installation. This also makes locking the enclosure much easier.
