[2020] SpeedCheck® product update - new external AC cabinet

This article details an update to the SPEEDCHECK-18 external AC cabinet.

Product applicability

The following products are discussed in this article:

  • SpeedCheck: SPEEDCHECK-15 and SPEEDCHECK-18
    • AC-powered option

When did this update occur

Starting in 2020 Q4, the older steel SPEEDCHECK-18 AC power cabinet has been replaced with the standard Carmanah G Series aluminum cabinet.

What has been improved

Some of the benefits of the new cabinet are as follows:

  • Standard power cabinet used across Carmanah’s portfolio (G Series and SpeedCheck)
  • Standard AC-DC power supply across Carmanah’s portfolio (G Series and SpeedCheck)
  • SPEEDCHECK-18 AC cabinet now made of aluminum instead of steel
  • Optional powder coating available in white or black
  • Larger cabinet capable of supporting third party devices and easier usability

This update also applies to the SPEEDCHECK-15 (external AC and solar-powered) and the SPEEDCHECK-18 (solar-powered), which means all SpeedCheck products now use the same power cabinet.
