Starting in 2023 Q3, the R838 has the option to add a remote transmitter/receiver kit.
What is the remote transmitter/receiver used for
The remote transmitter/receiver is used for activating the R838 wireless beacon controller from various locations in the immediate vicinity of the system. For example, when entering and exiting a firehall station while inside of a vehicle. This will eliminate having to physically go to the R838 to push the button and activate the remote beacon systems.
The transmitter is battery powered with replaceable AAA batteries and has a maximum range of 6 miles with good line of site.

Actual range and performance will vary. This transmitter is not intended for drastic beyond visual line-of-sight applications. Test transmitter thoroughly based on your application requirements before deploying.
