How do I configure the Polara iNX/iDX push button?

Follow these basic steps to configure your Polara iNX/iDX push button as part of your Carmanah beacon system.

Product applicability

The following products are discussed in this article:

  • E Series: R920-E and R820-E
  • F Series: R920-F and R820-F
  • G Series: SC315-G and R820-G
  • MX Series: R920-MX
Polara iNX Polara iDX (touchless)

  1. Check the wiring at the pushbutton (see inset image below)
  2. Download the Polara Field Service App - mandatory
  3. Update firmware - recommended (if prompted)
  4. Change default password - mandatory
  5. Change LED Flash Behavior (see inset image below)
  6. Change locator tone and speech message settings as required - optional

Push Button Wiring:

Note: GND and PWR terminals may have dielectric grease applied.

Only remove enough of the grease to access screw terminals and interior wire clamps on the terminal block.
