MX Series product update - new feature: Trigger with Notification operation mode
This article details a new MX Series feature known as Trigger with Notification, primarily for wrong-way or external sensor applications.

While this feature is primarily used for wrong-way detection systems, it can also be used in other warning applications to receive an email/SMS alert each time the system is triggered.
When did this update occur
MX Field App began supporting Trigger with Notification starting in 2024 Q1.
What software version is required
This feature requires MX Field App version 2.1 or newer.
Theory of operation
This new setting is found by navigating to Operation —> Mode and choosing Trigger with Notification. Each time the system is activated the system will reflect this activity in MX Cloud, and all users on the MX Cloud account (who are opted-in) will also receive an email and/or SMS alert.

To take advantage of the Trigger with Notification mode the MX system needs to have an active MX Plus/Pro subscription.
Do not use this mode for crosswalk or other applications with high volume daily activations.
All MX Cloud users will automatically be opted-in to email notifications when using Trigger with Notification. You must manually opt-in to SMS notifications within MX Cloud.
