Can I add overhead lighting to my crosswalk beacon systems?

Starting in 2020, Carmanah began offering the R920-F and SC315-G crosswalk beacon systems with optional overhead lighting. Additional crosswalk lighting increases features of safety, security and accessibility. Please refer to our overview on crosswalk lighting for more information.

Installation

To add overhead lighting to your beacon system, the following components are installed:

• Relay kit: provides power to the overhead lighting fixture when the crosswalk beacon system is activated by a pedestrian;
• LED overhead light fixture, including an LED driver (AC or DC fixtures);
• Fixture shorting cap or photocell;
• Fixture mount.
